It’s the second time today that the air ambulance has been scrambled to the Island, with the day crew attending a serious crash at Blackwater this lunchtime. Yesterday (Sunday) the specialist crew responded to another medical emergency in Ashey.

UPDATE @ 21:45 – After some 2-and-a-half hours on the ground, the air ambulance has taken off from Wootton.

No patients have been conveyed to a mainland hospital. The helicopter has instead redeployed to another incident in Southampton.
