Housebuilder Allison Homes is hosting a first time buyers event at its Farriers Reach development in Oakham, Rutland this weekend, where interested buyers could benefit from a £500 IKEA gift voucher.

Farriers Reach, situated off Main Road, consists of a range of stylish one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom homes.

The first time buyers event is taking place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th February, and will allow property seekers to book an appointment to meet with the sales team and enquire about the homes currently available. Buyers who reserve a property over the weekend will receive a £500 IKEA gift voucher to help kit out their first home.

One of the properties available is the two bedroom Claythorpe I style apartment, priced from £164,995. Located on the ground, first and second floors, the Claythorpe I is perfect for first time buyers and designed to accommodate modern living.

The contemporary apartment benefits from an open plan living/kitchen/dining area, which is complete with French doors and a Juliet balcony. The home is completed with two spacious bedrooms, a family bathroom and storage cupboard, providing plenty of space for the whole household.

The Claythorpe I is available to purchase through the Government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme*, meaning only a 5% deposit is required. The remaining amount is made up from a 75% mortgage and a 20% equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.

Samantha Hart, sales and marketing director at Allison Homes, said: “We cannot wait to put on our first time buyer event this weekend. Getting onto the property ladder is becoming increasingly difficult, and at Allison Homes we’re here to help make the home buying journey as stress-free and exciting as possible.

“Farriers Reach is a beautiful development in the heart of Rutland, and is proving very popular. Our Claythorpe I style apartment is more than ideal for first time buyers, whether they’re individuals looking for their own space or couples seeking to move into their very own home.

“I’d encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch with our wonderful sales team without delay to book their appointment. This event will be by appointment only, so don’t miss out!”

Alongside new homes, Farriers Reach consists of parks, open spaces, play areas, allotments and a new community centre. Barleythorpe brook runs through the development, which will also feature new cycle and footpaths.

Oakham is a traditional, community-focused market town, with regular markets selling local produce, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.

Excellent road links mean the towns of Stamford, Melton Mowbray and Corby are within easy reach, and Leicester and Nottingham are within 35 miles. Oakham railway station offers routes to Birmingham, Leicester, Peterborough, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
