Strictly Come Dancing duo John Whaite, 32, and Johannes Radebe, 34, were left mortified after a lift went wrong in the quarter-final this evening. The Great British Bake Off winner John dropped Johannes after the professional dancer gave him the wrong hand.
Like a pro, the Strictly star styled it out and posed as he fell to the floor.
Their mistake however didn’t go unnoticed by the judges including Anton du Beke, 55.
The dancer turned judge joked that he understood why perhaps John wanted to drop his professional partner.
He said: “Well, I have to be honest with you, I’ve lifted a few partners on Strictly Come Dancing that I couldn’t wait to put down.”

After Giovanni Pernice and Rose Ayling-Ellis performed an elegant ballroom routine to an instrumental version of the Titanic soundtrack, Anton couldn’t help but think about a similar dance he did with Ann.
He remarked: “I feel a bit emotional really because I remember dancing to Titanic on Strictly Come Dancing a number of years ago with Ann Widdecombe, and it didn’t quite look the same as that, somehow!”
The professional dancer has said he’s not sure if he will be returning to the show as a judge next year.
He told OK! Magazine: “I haven’t got anything to say about that because it’s not a decision I can make.
