Black Future Leaders: Property meets Tech

On Saturday 22nd May, Rehoboth Property International and The Hill Hub hosted a ‘Property Meets Tech’ event at The Hill Hub with some of the UK’s future leaders within the tech and property industry.

The purpose of the event was to partner up and explore ideas on how to push an ecosystem of an emerging and innovative industry within London and Kent, specifically those in the black community.

The former Dartford Magistrates Court & Police Station was acclaimed by Rehoboth Property and was transformed into state-of-the-art private office, co-working space and tech hub. It is now open to entrepreneurs, founders, creatives and start-up businesses to work, network and take their businesses to the next level.

With statistics showing that in 2019‘Black people only made up three per cent of the UK tech workforce, it was an opportunity to collaborate with leaders in the tech industry and share ideas for mutual progression.

Rehoboth Property have access to properties and information that can help provide solutions for founders and entrepreneurs and aim to replicate numerous different tech hubs around the UK.

The partnership for the event was formed to raise awareness of the importance of ownership, bridge the gap between different industries and motivate the next generation of technologists and innovators.

Some of the black leaders Present at the event included Mark Martins, Founder of UK Black Tech; Andy Davis, Co-Founder of 10×10; Raphael Sofoluke, Founder of UK Black Business Show; Richard Cummings, Adtech @ Google; Andre Lewis, Founder of the PLM Group; Flavilla Fongang, Author, MD and Top 5 Influential Women in Tech Brand Strategist at BBC; Paul Adegbite, Co-Founder, Property Cohort; Mofe – Google and Rowland John, Property Cohort.

UK Black Tech founder Mark Martins stated ‘I think it’s important that we raise the next generation of black investors, teaching them how to invest and bringing the best technologists to The Hill Hub”.

Any Davis, Co Founder of 10×10 said ‘I’m so excited to be partnering up with The Hill Hub, we as black people have access to land & we need to use that bring awareness to the world of tech
