Britney Spears is “absolutely livid” after her wedding was ‘gatecrashed’ by her first husband, Jason Alexander, who has since been arrested and charged.

The pop icon, 40, wants to see her ex “aggressively prosecuted” thanks to him disrupting the build up to her nuptials with fiancé Sam Asghari.

Jason – whose 2004 marriage to Britney was annulled after 55 hours – showed his intentions in a live video on Instagram as he approached security at the wedding venue, claiming that he had been invited by Britney herself.

He stated that she was his first and only wife and he was going to gatecrash the wedding.

According to TMZ, Jason has since been booked for trespassing, vandalism and 2 batteries and remains in custody.

It appears Jason got in the wedding venues

Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has told the American publication he is “personally working” with the police to ensure Jason is punished for crashing the singer’s special day.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department told Rolling Stone how he was detained by security personnel and arrested due to an outstanding felony warrant.

He was involved in a physical struggle as attempts were made to keep Jason from entering the venue before his phone stopped broadcasting live.

At one point in the Instagram Live, Jason can be seen storming into a marquee set up in the grounds of Britney’s home, as he starts shouting for the singer.

He tells one security guard “don’t f**k with me” as he heads into the venue, while calling for his former wife.

“So here’s the inside scoop guys at the bulls**t wedding, Jason Alexander, what’s up,” he says, as he moves around the marquee.

A huge rose garland hanging above the aisle can be seen, as workmen put the finishing touches to Britney’s special day.

He then could be seen walking around the Toxic hitmaker’s house, before he was accosted by a security guard.

“Don’t f***ing touch me,” he warns one, as he asks: “Where’s Britney?”

As the situation begins to escalate, Jason’s phone freezes, and he’s later accosted by police officers.

According to TMZ, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene after receiving a call reporting an incident of trespassing.

Jason has since been charged

Jason’s footage revealed Britney’s wedding set-up

It’s not yet known in Britney was in the house at the time, but the terrifying incident may have overshadowed her wedding day, as Jason frantically searched for her in an effort to put a stop to the nuptials.

In a comment to TMZ, Britney’s attorney revealed the pop princess was safe but “absolutely livid” Jason tried to ruin her special day with Sam.

“I am personally working with the sheriff’s department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the legal professional added.

Jason has previously spoken out about his theory that Britney is still being held ‘captive’, despite her conservatorship ending in December.

Before he managed to gain access to Britney’s home, he filmed his encounter with the star’s security on the perimeter of her estate, as he was quizzed by a guard who asked him why he was there.

“Tell her that Jason’s here and I can come in,” he tells the guard.

Captain Cameron Henderson of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told The Sun: “We are there investigating after reports that somebody was trespassing on the property.

“I can’t confirm who the suspect is, we have deputies on scene trying to figure everything out right now,” he said, as he confirmed officers were still on the scene.

Britney and Jason tied the knot in Las Vegas in January 2004 but their union lasted less than two days, with the marriage annulled after 55 hours.

Jason’s arrest on Thursday is said to be his third in 13 months, and he also has a felony warrant for larceny in another county.

The singer’s first husband was last in trouble with the law for driving under the influence in January 2021 and also for breaking security protocols at an airport in August last year.

In December 2021, Jason was arrested for violating an order of protection and stalking an unidentified woman.

He pleaded guilty to the charges the following month and began serving nearly a year of probation.

Following gatecrashing Britney’s wedding on Thursday, Jason has been charged with four misdemeanours by Ventura County Sheriff’s Department; two counts of misdemeanour battery, one count of misdemeanour vandalism and one count of misdemeanour trespassing.

Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh told the PA news agency an altercation had occurred with security officers, during which items had been broken.

“He was able to find his way onto the property and was confronted by security,” sergeant Zadeh said.

“An altercation occurred with the security officers and that’s where the battery occurred… and during the altercation an item was broken so that’s where the vandalism comes into play.

“And by being on private property, the trespass comes into play.”

Sergeant Zadeh confirmed the incident took place before Britney and Sam’s wedding and those involved do plan to prosecute.
