The CEO of an ever-expanding Manchester logistics firm has hailed the company’s previous two MEN Business Awards wins – as this year’s deadline for entries draws closer.

Brian Hay said the awards “celebrate our business success but also, importantly, the good work Cardinal Global Logistics is doing locally to strengthen its community relationships”. Cardinal triumphed at the awards in the Up to £10m category in 2002 – and in the £50m-£100m category in 2018.

Earlier this month, we relaunched the MEN Business Awards – reopening the entry period for a limited time and for a select number of categories.

Earlier this year, CEO Mr Hay called on his employees to help the company become a £200m turnover business by 2022.

The business also recently announced a “strategic investment” in an Australian freight forwarder.

Cardinal Global Logistics currently has 10 regional offices and 12 overseas bases.

Mr Hay said: “Throughout the progress of growing Cardinal Global Logistics we have participated in the MEN Business Awards, winning our first award in the up to £10m category in 2002, and more recently winning the Turnover £50m-£100m Business of the Year Award in 2018.

This year, the MEN Business Awards are lucky enough to have five headline sponsors. The businesses sponsoring the awards are:

Robert Walters’ director Lucy Bisset

The firm’s director, Lucy Bisset, said: “As a global consultancy with strong local ties, we’re motivated to help business leaders in realising their growth ambitions, so it’s a pleasure to be supporting the MEN Business of the Year Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
