But Rightmove’s market information can give an idea of how similar homes have been listed and sold recently.

This area of Wirral has a wide price range, with five bedroom properties going for under £500,000 or more than £2,000,000.

Currently listed on Rightmove , within a one mile radius of the Sandy Landy property, similar houses are up for £400,000 on Mill Lane, £2,300,000 on Station Road, £360,000 on Escolme Drive and £1,450,000 on Caldy Road.

Another home listed on Sandy Lane for £599,950 is under offer and on Croft Drive East a property listed for £1,100,000 is also sold subject to contract.

The prices of properties in Irby were up 21% in the last year than the previous year with an overall average price of £296,445, according to Rightmove.

Most of the sales in the area were for semi-detached properties, selling for an average of £262,850, in the last 12 months.

Detached properties fetched £345,618 and terraced houses sold for £167,500 on average.

Images of September Cottage on Rightmove show that the home boasts uncovered wood ceiling beams, York stone floors and exposed sandstone walls throughout adding to the ‘charm.’

The majority of the ground floor is made up of a open plan kitchen and lounge area which is described as the ‘hub of the home.’

The area includes a fully integrated kitchen with plenty of storage and a central island with further space for a breakfast bar or food preparation.
