The lending industry faces enhanced pressure as the demand for borrowing soared during the Covid-19 pandemic and, in particular, a property boom that has retained momentum in a post-pandemic climate.

The 2022 Lending Summit, unites perspectives from all three markets, and brings three stages playing host to sessions split across different aspects of the industry – alternative, commercial and mortgage. It is designed to cross-pollinate insight, as industry experts will debate and share knowledge on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

The alternative finance sessions include a focus on the future of buy now, pay later (BNPL) and building trust with customers.

The commercial side of the agenda explores geographic imbalances in access to finance, as well as how effectively financial services are powering towards a net zero economy.

Mortgage sessions discuss the shared ownership model and the effect of the post-pandemic property boom on the housing chain.

Speakers include industry experts such as Esther Dijkstra, managing director, intermediaries at Lloyds Banking Group, Alex Marsh, head of Klarna UK and Jason Wassell, chief executive of the Consumer Credit Trade Association.

In scope and delivery, the Lending Summit is the single most comprehensive event covering product, risk and deal origination. It’s the only event that brings together the consumer, residential and business lending industries across the UK.

The Lending Awards 2022, sponsored by Alphera Financial Services and Ohpen, will take place after the conference at the same venue. Entries for the awards close on 5 August. To enter, click here.
