Director of Communications
This is a full time, exempt position that reports directly to the Rector of the church.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 per year. Market competitive compensation dependent upon talent, skill, and experience.
Position Summary: The Director leads the communications and marketing strategies that highlight and share the work God is doing in and through the people and ministries of Christ Church Denver. This position oversees the creation and management of internal and external communications, website, mobile app, videos, print media and materials, digital signage, and other forms of communication technology. Assignments are diverse in nature and require determining practical solutions while working closely with the Rector, administrative team, volunteers, and external partners.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain brand consistency across ministries and events
Graphic design for sermon series, events, ministries, etc.
Oversee coordinated strategies for all channels of digital and print communication including website, newsletter, bulletin, app, and social media platforms
Create and implement marketing strategies for ministries and special events
Oversee the design and production of marketing materials for church events and seasonal outreach opportunities
Photography, Video Production, Video Editing, & Storytelling
Maintain an organized media library of photos and video for use in future projects
Look for opportunities to tell stories of life change at Christ Church and identify appropriate channels to share those stories

Teachable nature and humility balanced with confidence and assertiveness
Successful completion of the pre-employment screening process including a back ground check, social security verification and eligibility to work in the United States
Education or Formal Training:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field or minimum 5 years of experience in related field
Knowledgeable in Marketing/Branding Principles
Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
Attention to Detail
Professional and proactive work ethic
Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing, ads, campaigns, etc.
Competency in Apple and Microsoft applications
Work Environment/Physical Activities: Church environment the majority of time; a mixture of inside office and some outdoor activities throughout the year.
