Two staff from the south coast region of property consultancy Vail Williams have been promoted to associate level.

Agency surveyor Alex Gauntlett and valuation surveyor Jon Sharp, based at the Portsmouth and Southampton offices, are among a series of promotions by the expanding consultancy across 11 offices in England.

Gary Jeffries, Regional Managing Partner, who heads up the offices in Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth, said: “Alex and Jon thoroughly deserve their Associate promotions, which recognise strong individual performances within their respective disciplines.”

Alex, a graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc degree in property development, deals with acquisitions and disposals of commercial property along the M27, which is known as the Solent Corridor linking the international port cities of Portsmouth and Southampton.

Work by Jon, a Registered Valuer at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), includes valuations on behalf of major banks and private clients in single lots and portfolios, for both acquisition and re-financing purposes across all the main property sectors in the UK, including residential and mixed-use.

The brace of promotions follows the appointment of Bryony Solan, a MRICS chartered surveyor, as an Associate at Vail Williams’ new Bournemouth office, following the merger with Cowling & West in spring. Following a series of mergers, Hampshire Chamber member Vail Williams has 11 offices – Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Crawley, Heathrow, Leeds, London, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton and Woking.

Vail Williams’ full-service property advice includes property valuation, planning and lease advice, investment and development expertise, property asset management and occupier consultancy.
