Electric bike stolen after break-in at Poole property

AN electric bike has been stolen following a break-in at a property near Poole harbour.

Officers investigating the burglary in Beacon Hill are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.35pm on Thursday, January 6, of a break-in at a Beacon Hill property.

A black electric bike – with a carbon frame, 29-inch wheels and forked suspension – was stolen.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, but nobody was located.

Police constable Samuel Kinsella, of Poole Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the vicinity or residents with home CCTV systems that may have captured any footage of interest to my enquiries.

“Finally, if you have seen an electric bike matching the description or image for sale locally in unusual circumstances, please get in touch.”
