Multidisciplinary consultancy ETL has appointed Rebecca Saxon to its property team. As the firm kicks off a recruitment drive to support its new growth strategy, Stephen Edgar, Director of Property at ETL, said Saxon’s arrival would be an “important hire” to “boost our inhouse team and resources.”

Edgar went on, “With a number of complex property projects on the horizon, we need to ensure that we have the right team in place to deliver… I am delighted she has joined our team.”

Formed in 2014 by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, ETL is a unique multidisciplinary consultancy that enables public and private sector clients to transform their environments and create a meaningful legacy. Its team comprises of 80 experts across offices in London and Oxfordshire and staff based in Cambridge, East Anglia, Manchester, and Dublin. The firm re-invests profits within the Trust it grew out of.

With ETL, Saxon will take on the role of Senior Surveyor, and lend her expertise on asset disposal and management to ETL’s client property portfolios. She brings with her a wealth of experience gained from specialising in asset disposal in central London for private sector landlords – something which will be especially important for the work she undertakes with ETL.

Commenting on a new chapter in her career, Saxon said, “As the NHS estate moves towards Net Zero Carbon targets and the end of PFI contracts, how landlords dispose of and manage their assets has never been more important. Critical decisions will be made in the coming years which will impact not only the individual owners and lease holders, but also shape future of property and asset management. Working in a time of great change is challenging, but it certainly brings its own rewards.”

Originally graduating from the University of Reading with a Bachelor of Science (Real Estate), Saxon has forged a career in asset management working with clients such as BlackRock, Lothbury Investment Management, The Bedford Estates, The Raymond Estates, Amsprop Estates, OMC Investments and Consolidated Group. She moves to ETL from Monmouth Dean, where she was responsible for guiding landowners regarding asset disposal, and also advising occupiers and landlords on how to add value to their property portfolio and/or reduce their liability. She also managed the agency surveyors.

Saxon’s hire is part of the execution of a strategy to support business growth and expansion, as the firm looks to meet heightened demand. According to a release from the firm, she will be joined shortly by 10 further hires across its team.
