A rare chance to buy two houses on the same Chesterfield street from as little as £10,000+ each is coming up at Bond Wolfe’s next online auction on Wednesday 21 July.

The mid and end-terraced properties at 64 and 68 Westlea, in the Clowne area of the town, both have a reception room and dining kitchen on the ground floor, with a landing, three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

The properties have double-glazing and front and back gardens, and both come with a guide price* of £10,000+, reflecting the fact that they need refurbishment. They are freehold, with vacant possession available on completion.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “It’s not often that you get two family-sized homes so close together at such reasonable starting prices. These properties could each be attractive to first-time buyers with some DIY skills, or to landlords looking to expand their portfolios. In the latter case, the fact that the properties are so close together would make them an ideal purchase by one landlord, as any works needed could be done at the same time, saving costs.”

Other potential bargains in the auction from Derbyshire, include a three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 3 Lord Haddon Road in Ilkeston, which has a guide price of £25,000+.

This property has two reception rooms, a kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, with two bedrooms on the first floor and another bedroom on the second floor.

It stands back from the road with gardens front and back, and benefits from central heating and double glazing.

There’s another lot with a £25,000+ guide price, this time a two-bedroomed, mid-terraced house over at 143 King Street in Alfreton.

This property stands flush to the pavement with a garden to the rear, and it benefits from central heating and double glazing.

Also in Alfreton is a three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 70 Nottingham Road with a rear conservatory, gardens front and back, central heating and double glazing. This has a guide price of £24,000 to £29,000.

And a two-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 3 West Street in South Normanton also has central heating and double glazing, although it needs modernising. Its guide price is £30,000+.

In Derby itself, a three-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 359 Osmaston Park Road in the suburb of Allenton has a guide price of £24,000 to £29,000, although this property will need repairing after fire damage.

The Derbyshire properties are just a few of a record-breaking 247 lots listed in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which starts at 8.30am on Wednesday 21 July.

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only, and bidders must pre-register no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 20 July.
