Davidsons Homes is preparing to release the final homes for sale at a new housing development in the Buckinghamshire village of Hanslope.

The housebuilder is delivering 141 new homes at The Wheatfields, off Long Street Road, including a selection of three, four and five-bedroom houses, as well as areas of green open space and a children’s play park.

Simon Tyler, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “The Wheatfields has been a much sought-after development from the outset with a great deal of interest from local people and also from buyers from further afield attracted by a top-quality range of homes in a lovely village location.

“A great deal of the success of the development comes from being able to offer buyers from London much better value for money and greater access to open space while still being within easy commuting distance of the capital.

“As a responsible housebuilder our ethos is always to ensure that our developments have a positive impact on the local area. Our ambition is to not only build brand-new communities but to create a real sense of place in the emerging neighbourhood. As more and more residents move onto The Wheatfields we can see a vibrant new community taking shape.”

Davidsons Homes is investing more than £2.2 million in local services and infrastructure as part of the planning agreement for the development.

Payments include £1.1 million for education and £200,000 towards local healthcare facilities, as well as a £32,737 community hall contribution, a £105,750 neighbourhood play contribution and a £137,633 playing field contribution to Milton Keynes Council.

Simon said: “At The Wheatfields we are delivering a selection of much-needed homes to Hanslope but, at the same a time, we are also making a major contribution towards the improvement of local services in the village and the wider area.

“We also like to reach out to the local community in which we are creating a new neighbourhood and we have done that in Hanslope by donating a defibrillator at the village recreation ground after residents highlighted the lack of vital life-saving equipment in the area. We’ve also sponsored the under-11s at Hanslope Hornets Football Club this season and previously donated 84 hi-vis bags to keep pupils safe on their walk to Hanslope Primary School.

“There are still a few homes left to reserve on this development but there is a lot of interest in them, so we would urge potential buyers to contact our sales team.”

There’s currently a choice of four and five-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at The Wheatfields, with prices starting from £574,995.
