The sales office and two showhomes at a new housing development in Fordham are now open to view.

Housebuilder Ashberry Homes announced the much-awaited on-site launch of Cortlands, off Fordham Road in the Cambridgeshire village, which happened in January.

The developer released the first properties for sale on the 5.58-acre site after experiencing high demand from prospective purchasers.

Ashberry Homes is delivering 52 new homes at Fordham, with 31 properties for private sale and 21 provided as affordable housing for local people.

Rachael Gatehouse, Sales Manager for Ashberry Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We have been inundated with enquiries since announcing our plans for Cortlands and the launch saw a high level of interest from prospective purchasers who visited the development.

“Customers are now able to visit the sales office and showhomes view appointment. We opened a two-bedroom bungalow and a three-bedroom house which were expertly dressed by our team of interior designers.

“These showhomes will give buyers the chance to walk around the properties and visualise what it might be like to live in one of the homes on this development.

“At Cortlands we are building a range of two-bedroom bungalows and three and four-bedroom houses which will appeal to a mix of potential purchasers, including first-time buyers, downsizers and growing families.

“The site is in a highly sought-after location in a village which is just a 10-minute drive to the town of Newmarket and all the shops, pubs and restaurants that has to offer.

“We would encourage anyone who is interested in buying a new home at Cortlands to contact our sales team who will answer any questions people might have.”

Ashberry Homes is part of the Bellway group. Bellway Eastern Counties is building 100 new homes at another development in Fordham – at Bassingbourn Fields, off Mildenhall Road.
