Now, further forensic examination of the property is taking place whilst detectives conduct door to door enquiries in the area. It is currently unclear what the connection is between the deceased, the suspects and the Jellicoe Road home.

Forensic teams have also returned to the scene of the murder in George Street, gathering further evidence to support the investigation and the prosecution.

38-year-old Piers Brazier has been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Scott Cooper at a flat in George Street, Ryde on Tuesday. He will appear before the court in Southampton later today.

A 28-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody at this time. However, a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
