Fortnite is reaching the end of its current arc, and is preparing to enter the sixth season of chapter two.
As usual, Epic Games’ mega-hit will celebrate the launch of a new season with an event.
Here is everything you need to know about it.
When is the Fortnite event?
The event will start on Tuesday 16 March, Epic Games has confirmed.
There is no specific start time, with the event instead kicking off when you first log in to Fortnite for the new season, so you don’t need to worry about missing it.
Fortnite released a cinematic premiere for the new season on YouTube at 8am on Tuesday.
It stars Agent Jones in his mission to put an end to the Zero Point saga once and for all, and features cameos from the likes of Peely, Ryu from Street Fighter and Master Chief from Halo.
It also reveals that the map appears to have been plunged into a primal age by a mysterious pulse.
How will the event work?
The event will be a solo experience, rather than a collaborative mission like those that have marked the beginning of some other seasons.
Epic Games says: “When you first launch into the new season, you’ll play through the conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. The aftermath of this event is sure to shape reality as we know it.”
There have been rumours that Brazilian footballer Neymar will appear in the new season, fuelled by a teaser video Epic Games released on social media.
What do I need to do before the new season?
Fortnite tweeted last week saying that ahead of the event, you should spend your bars, complete your battle pass and finish your quests for the current season.
Your cache of bars is reset at the end of this season to make room for exciting improvements in season six.
There is just a few hours left to complete the Beskar Quests, complete Mando’s Beskar Armor and unlock the Child Back Bling at level 100.
