This month, The Deposit Protection Service (The DPS) will host more of its popular, free dispute webinars to help landlords and letting agents navigate the dispute resolution process.
The 60-minute webinars are open both to customers of The DPS and other deposit protection providers and will cover:
· Thursday 8 July: evidence information needed for a dispute, how to best gather and prepare it, as well as the principles adjudicators use to reach a conclusion
· Thursday 15 July: errors landlords commonly make that can affect a dispute outcome
· Wednesday 21 July: review of real-life examples of dispute evidence to test knowledge
Matt Trevett, Managing Director at The DPS, said, “We always encourage landlords and letting agents to keep communicating with tenants and come to their own agreement when a tenancy ends. Nevertheless, for a small proportion of landlords and letting agents, adjudication does become a necessary step, and our July webinars will cover all the important features of the process to ensure a smooth and efficient outcome. All our webinars feature experienced, legally-trained adjudicators and form part of our ongoing commitment to support landlords, agents and tenants with high-calibre and useful information.”
The DPS said more than 5,000 people have registered for its webinars to date, and that it would host more during the Autumn.
