A ghost development left as if time has stood still is to go under the hammer.

It’s not known what went wrong after tools were suddenly downed at the four homes.

Tubs of readymix concrete and sacks of plaster have even been left lying inside along with floats, a kettle and even a bottled gas heater.

The terraces had been built on wasteland at a top address in Paisley after planning permission was given more than five years ago.

But google images reveal nothing has been touched for at least 14 months as progress was halted.

The early electrics have been done in some of the homes, and insulation has been put in place.

Two appear wind and watertight with double glazing and doors. The other two are just a frame and don’t have roofs, and concrete blocks litter the ground outside.

The four-bed properties are on West Brae and command views to the historic John Neilson Institute and the Coats Memorial Church.

They lie in the Cross and Oakshaw Conservation area.

Auction house Future Property is putting it for sale tomorrow – Thursday, December 2 – as a “part-built development.”

The guide price is £203,000 – and the agents reckon each unit could be worth £325,000 once completed.

Shawlands-based Future said: “It is a super development opportunity for a builder to take on.

“Planning permission was granted for the erection of four two-storey dwelling houses with associated parking.

“There is massive capital growth potential with a realistic resale value following completion, based on final design spec.”

The completed properties will have patio doors to the back, with a lounge, dining kitchen, utility, shower room and integral garage at ground level.

Upstairs the master bedrooms will have an en-suite, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The online action will begin at 10am on Thursday December 2 and could run until 3pm.

Full details on how to bid are on the Future Property Auctions website.
