It is reported that Egerton Park estate was developed to be a ‘quality’ residential area in Wirral.

It is likely that it was named after a prominent family, possibly of Francis Egerton, 1st Earl of Ellesmere who had died in 1857.

Listed with Clive Watkin for sale, the cottage is priced at £250,000.

Properties in Birkenhead had an overall average price of £139,473 over the last year, according to Rightmove.
