Haysto has this week launched as an online mortgage broker for customers who don’t fit the high-street mould.

Founded in Q1 2020 as an online aggregator for the specialist mortgage market Haysto was in stealth mode until its soft launch in Q4 later that year. Since then the company has helped thousands of customers secure a mortgage who were previously turned down while opening up the specialist lending market with it’s bold, no-nonsense brand.

Haysto’s aggressive growth plans has the business on track to hire 75 new team members by the end of 2022, and include roles for Mortgage Brokers, Insurance Advisors, Case Managers and Sales Support. All positions have the option to work remotely or from Haysto’s office in central Norwich.

Haysto launches as an Appointed Representative with HLP, recent winners of the Mortgage Strategy Awards for Best Network over 300ARs.

Partnership with HLP

Haysto Co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Moulton, said: “2021 has seen us rapidly grow, and building upon this we are now launching as an online brokerage under HLP with an initial team of 25 and a headcount plan of 100 in the next 18 months. We engaged all major networks in the UK – as well as several smaller players – and after an extensive selection process chose to work with HLP as we found them to be most strategically aligned to Haysto‘s vision for the specialist mortgage market, with a technology focus and being best positioned to support a rapidly growing company such as ourselves.”

Tackling stigma and supporting mental health

Haysto is working hard to tackle the stigma around poor credit and alternative working patterns. The pandemic has thrown numerous curveballs into the mix – from furlough to redundancy – with a great number of people changing either the way they work or having to reduce their income. This doesn’t mean they should be excluded from the advice they need or be penalised because of their life choices.

Haysto is helping to change these misconceptions by shining a light on the specialist market and growing consumer need through bold and empowering messaging such as their Thanks For Nothing Campaign. The campaign aims to raise more awareness of the specialist lending market among would-be homeowners, reflecting the views of frustrated customers following mortgage rejection, who now feel lost at the lack of support and guidance following that decision.

Haysto‘s goal is to help those who can afford a mortgage to escape expensive rental cycles, delivering the right outcome by empowering them to become homeowners by making the specialist mortgage market more accessible.
