HR Director based in Chester, Full time, Monday – Friday Immediate Start. Covering x 4 sites across the UK Your new company A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a HR Director to join my client at Executive Level on a permanent basis. My Client based in the Chester area specialises in food production and trades in both the UK and Europe. Through growth my client has a need for a strategic HR Director to sit on the Executive team and support the development of the business from its original roots into a thriving bigger business with a loyal and supportive team of employees.

The organisation has four sites across the UK and just under 500 employees. The four manufacturing sites are located in Chester, Peterborough, Yorkshire and Dolgellau. Your new role I am seeking an experienced HR Director to support the Executive team in developing HR processes, procedures and practises across the business. Some of your duties will include but not limited too To drive the HR strategy of the company, aligned with the goals of the business, across all departments – Prioritise the HR agenda, identifying legal and compliance issues that have to be addressed whilst making progressive steps on cultural change Support the Executive team and managers in developing leadership within their teams Support change management processes and communication / engagement strategies Develop a professional and effective HR team that supports the work required across the sites, whilst allowing for improvements in talent management processes, learning and development and recruitment Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary, aligning policies across the business where appropriate Provide first line advice to managers in HR matters and how to deal with issues compliantly Provide support to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager in ensuring the appropriateness and adequacy of health and safety procedures Ensure compliance with all elements of employment law Manage & develop administrative capability at sites to provide support to Site managers Manage complex employee relations including dispute resolutions, disciplinary, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy Review remuneration and reward policies, ensuring that the business has a market relevant rewards package in each area of the business Manage recruitment processes Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate potential disputes What you’ll need to succeed Proven track record of coaching Executive Boards and Managers in the leadership of their teams Ability to deliver company-wide change initiatives from a practical perspective and cultural perspective Ability to lead and develop a team to deliver a professional and cost-effective HR service Sound knowledge of employment law and its application in resolving a range of people and business-related matters Willingness to operate at all levels across the business to understand first-hand where change is needed Able to prioritise and make demonstrable progress in the evolution of the business’s HR and people agenda What you’ll get in return Working for a fantastic organisation who are in the process of developing a thriving business A strong executive team Ability to drive the business forward What you need to do now If you’re interested in this role, click ‘apply now’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
