A humongous property that featured on TV show Four in a Bed has gone up for sale.

The eight bedroom detached house, Rappax Road, Hale, appeared on the Channel 4 series back in 2016.

The B&B, named Halliwell House, owned by Martin Hulme and Sara Williams was also aired on reruns of the show in July 2021.

Rooms cost almost £500 a night, with guests having to make their own breakfast.

Now the Edwardian home is on the market with Thornley Groves for a whopping £5 million.

The main residence boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms across 8000 sq ft of accommodation.

It sits in an elevated position amidst ‘extremely private’ grounds that extend to almost 1.4 acres.

However also in with the price is a ‘charming hideaway cottage’ – which is a detached two bedroom property on the grounds.

There’s also a newly built pool house, which doubles as a self contained annex, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms across 3000 sq ft.

Images posted to Rightmove show the main living accommodation is arranged around a wood panelled entrance hall with four reception rooms and an open-plan kitchen on the ground floor.

Both the kitchen and dining room benefit from direct access to a large terrace which overlooks the south westerly facing gardens.

Across the first and second floor are five bedroom suites, four of which enjoy ‘breathtaking views’ over the gardens.

Some of the bedrooms even feature their own sitting areas or ensuite bathrooms.

There is additional potential in the lower ground floor basement that is currently being used for storage space.

However a new owner could convert them into more bedrooms or leisure space.

‘Hideaway Cottage’ next to the main property has its own private garden area.

It is currently used as a short term holiday rental home but could be used by new buys as an additional income stream, or an additional home for family.

The newly refurbished ‘Pool House’ is split over two floors and has its own parking area and private south facing terrace.
