The five most popular Newcastle properties last month on Zoopla range from modern bungalows to properties in need of a makeover

There have been reports that UK housing prices are rising at their highest rate since 2007.

With such a buoyant market, it’s always interesting to see what type of property, and in what price bracket, the most popular are.

An insight is given each month by Zoopla which reveals which houses have attracted the most interest among online visitors to its property website.

And for February, the following five properties proved the biggest hit.

First up was a three bed semi-detached house in Chapel House Drive, Chapel House on the market for £210,000.

It was described as being in a convenient location and comprised an entrance hallway, lounge, fitted kitchen, stairs to first floor landing, three bedrooms, bathroom WC, lawned garden to the front with driveway, attached garage and private enclosed garden to the rear.

Property two was a two bed terraced house in Lamedon Mill Court, Lemington with a guide price of£150,000.

On the ground floor is an entrance hallway, lounge and breakfasting kitchen.

Meanwhile on the first floor landing are two bedrooms and a family bathroom.

There is a garden and patio to the rear and a garden and driveway to the front.

Bungalows always feature on the monthly lists which brings us to property three.

It is a two bed bungalow in West Avenue, Westerhope on the market for offers in the region of £290,000.

The current owners have renovated this home to a high standard with high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

It has an entrance hallway, lounge with bay window, open plan luxury fitted kitchen and dining room.

There is a master bedroom with an ensuite, a second double bedroom, both featuring fitted wardrobes.

Property four is also a bungalow, however unlike the previous one, this needs a lot of work.

It is a two bed bungalow on The Drive, Denton Burn with a guide price of £100,000.

As our pictures show, it is in need of refurbishment and has two bedrooms and useful loft space with ladder access and dormer window.

It has gardens to the front and rear, a garage and additional off street parking feature externally.

Finally, property five is a three bed semi-detached house in Greenlaw, East Denton, on trhe market for offers over £140,000.

It has a lounge and dining room, conservatory, fitted kitchen and cloaks WC.

To the first-floor landing there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, from bedroom three there is stair access to the loft room. Other benefits include double glazing and gas central heating.

Externally there is a decked garden to the rear and a large driveway to the front.
