Inside the luxury $8million Whale Beach property Julia Roberts rented for $14,000 A WEEK whilst filming romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise










Julia Roberts resided in the coastal suburb of Whale Beach in northern New South Wales to shoot her upcoming romantic comedy movie Ticket to Paradise.

And now it’s been revealed that a luxury $8million dollar property with beachside views is where the famed Hollywood actress decided to stay at for the duration of filming.

Julia, 54, rented out the exceptional pad with her family for an estimated $14,000 a week, according to property records.

The Hamptons-inspired property is three storeys tall and has phenomenal views of the local beaches and surrounding tropical environment.

It features six bedrooms – all with ensuites – including a king, two queens and three king singles, as well as open plan living and dining areas that make full use of the expansive outdoor decks and the spectacular scenery.  

It also includes floor to glass ceiling doors, a gas fireplace, luxury kitchen, and an outdoor pool and BBQ.

The master bedroom with the king bed, ensuite and walk-in wardrobe is on the top level with one of the queen beds and a spacious deck in between.

The property’s second level has the open plan living space, dining and kitchen areas. 

Whilst the third level provides the informal living areas for entertainment and relaxation. 

The stunning pad can accommodate up to nine guests at any one time.

Julia is currently shooting the romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise with male lead George Clooney.

George and Julia will play a divorced couple who travel to Bali in a desperate bid to stop their daughter, played by Kaitlyn Dever, from getting married. 

The movie has been filming in The Whitsundays after previously shooting on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, Queensland.

The production is expected to generate $47million for the Australian economy and create more than 270 jobs.

Ticket to Paradise is written and directed by Ol Parker, who helmed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

Longtime friends Julia and George have starred in three films together – Oceans Eleven (2001), Oceans Twelve (2004) and Money Monster (2016).
