And what a stunning collection of amazing properties they are, from a £2.4m house in the Lakes with views to die for, to a grand £30m mansion in Surrey.

We have put together a special picture gallery to give you a glimpse inside some of the grandest properties in the country.

Elegant and spacious, all its main rooms take advantage of the beautiful lake views.

The five bedroom property includes a stunning kitchen set-up and conservatory and gardens, providing a private escape with lake views, outside lighting, and a selection of colourful foliage.

Property two is Aspen House in Chigwell, this luxury Essex estate is set over 52 acres of private land, coming in at a cool £15m.

The five bedroom, six bathroom property combines exquisite modern interior design with an exterior countryside look.

It is set in over thirty acres of land, and as well as the mansion itself, there’s a stunning flat and two self-contained cottages for the ultimate in luxury living.

Finally comes property five, The Chanters House in Ottery St Mary, a home bursting with history, priced at £5,950,000.

The property includes The Grand Library, home to around 22,000 books.

Rightmove’s Director of Property Data Tim Bannister said: “We’ve seen the busiest ever first half of a year in 2021, and while much has changed in the housing market, the nation’s obsession with property and searching for their dream home has stayed the same.”
