TROUBLED Katie Price was last night facing up to five years in jail over an alleged abusive text.
Police were searching her phone for any messages which might have broken a court order about contacting her ex-hubby’s fiancée.

Family and friends of Katie Price say her future “looks bleak” as cops probe whether she broke a court order with a foul-mouthed message.
She was held at a police station for 12 hours after allegedly flouting a ban on contacting the fiancée of ex-husband Kieran Hayler “directly or indirectly”.
Mum-of-five Katie looked downcast yesterday as she was spotted for the first time since being released on bail.
She was at a petrol station with fiance Carl Woods near their tumbledown mansion — and facing up to five years in jail if found guilty.
Katie is already serving a 16-week suspended sentence for drink-driving after flipping her BMW — and dodged a prison term at the time only by attending rehab at The Priory.
A pal said: “Katie’s been having a tough time and it seems her behaviour in the past couple of weeks has become slightly erratic.
“She has been lashing out on social media and even had a pop at her ex Peter Andre’s wife Emily MacDonagh and claimed she’d stopped her daughter from visiting her in rehab.
“Her family wanted her to go back into The Priory for a while to get past her demons as she’s done so well previously when she had been there.
“However this isn’t something Katie wanted to do. They know how lucky she was that she didn’t go to jail over the drink-drive smash but now she’s facing prison again.
“It’s a hugely worrying time. Her family is distraught. They want to do everything they can to help and protect Katie.
“But this time if found guilty she really hasn’t helped herself and the situation is looking bleak.”
Yesterday’s Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed the former glamour model, 43, had been arrested in the early hours of Saturday.
‘HUGELY WORRYING’

In 2019 Katie was banned from contacting her following a four-letter tirade in a playground.
But she is claimed to have sent a text message branding Michelle a “cing we piece of s***” and a “gutter slag”.
Police confiscated Katie’s phone. A source said: “It’s been made clear that even if Katie has deleted messages from her phone, they will be found by specialist teams.
“Kieran has been assured by the police that they are doing everything they can. What is on that phone in regards to Michelle could be damning.
“If found guilty at court Katie could go down for up to five years.”
Those close to Katie — who has two children, Jett, six, and Bunny, five, with Kieran — said she got angry after seeing an Instagram post by Michelle which she believed was directed at her.
It read: “If someone treats you badly, just remember that there is something wrong with them. Normal people don’t go around destroying other human beings.”
‘NO COMMENT’
On Saturday Katie was taken from her home in Horsham to Worthing Police Station. She was believed to have repeatedly told officers “no comment”, as she was entitled, when interviewed before being released at 3pm.
Bankrupt Katie, who was once reported to be worth £40million, split from Kieran in 2018 after five years of marriage, amid allegations that he had cheated on her.
Last month there was public outrage when Katie dodged jail for flipping her BMW after a drink and drug binge, while banned from driving.
Handing her the suspended sentence, District Judge Amanda Kelly told her: “You could have killed somebody.
“Your actions meant the emergency services had to use up their precious time. You deliberately flouted a court order and not for the first time. You seem to think you’re above the law.”
Katie was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 sessions of rehabilitation work with probation specialists. She is now banned from driving for two years.
Commenting on the latest allegations, a legal professional told The Sun last night: “If found guilty, Katie would not only be sentenced for breaching the terms of her suspended sentence, but also for breaching the terms of her restraining order.
“The judge could implement the 16-month sentence or impose a term of imprisonment of up to five years for breaching the restraining order. Or indeed they could suspend it again or even fine her.”
‘BIG ANNOUNCEMENT’
Katie, who has had six driving bans, is engaged to former Love Island star Carl.
Last night she tried to look on the bright side by posting a short video on Instagram Stories showing her wearing sequinned Converse boots.
She wrote: “I still have my sparkle and drive looking forward to this week big announcement coming so excited.”
Her arrest came a week after The Sun reported Kieran was to be quizzed over historic rape allegations after Katie made a claim in relation to another woman.
Those close to Kieran said he wants to clear his name and was happy to help the police.
His spokesman said: “Kieran is very saddened by these false allegations. But he is keen not to get into a public dispute and would prefer to rectify this matter with the police as quickly and calmly as possible.”
