Property expert Martin Roberts has said the country is still seeing positive growth and property values increase. He said this was not just true of big cities like London and elsewhere in the country there was an increase in property value. While speaking on GB News,  Mr Roberts said Wales, North of England, Tyne, and Wear are seeing strong property growth.

He added while London is still seeing some growth, the rate at which it does so is slowing down.

Mr Roberts said: “If there is one thing the pandemic has proven is that when all the pundits were out there saying it is going to be terrible, they were predicting in March 2020, 20,30,40 percent drops in house prices.

“Here we are in October 2021 seeing these amazing levels of growth.

“You talk about London but in fact, in fact, if anything has had a bit of slowdown.

“You have seen places like Wales and the North of England, Tyne and Wear, those kind of places are showing real strong growth.”

The property expert noted that the pandemic had played an integral role in the shift in house value.

He said: “We have also heard it is being driven by people’s desire to have a different lifestyle.

“Also the thing about commuting, we don’t need to commute as much as we did.

Mr Roberts said: “Wales, south Wales, beautiful houses in the valleys of Wales.

“Places you can get for 60, 70, £80,000 and it is gorgeous.

“You want to stick to the basics, places where other people are putting a lot of money in.

” Places where you are seeing new supermarkets being built, new roads being built.
