Meghan Markle latest news – Duchess ‘lost her temper’ to Kate’s staff as Montecito mansion engulfed by foul smell

ROYAL author, Tom Quinn, has claimed palace insiders told him about an incident when Meghan “lost her temper” at a member of Kate Middleton’s staff.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Quinn described an alleged incident where Meghan felt she was not being treated with the same respect as Kate while she and Prince Harry lived at the Palace.

Quinn said “Meghan and Harry were living in what’s called Nottingham Cottage and it’s probably the only bit that you genuinely really could say, is actually quite small,” Quinn said.

“And so, I think that reminded Meghan that she was, as it were, second place or as the runner-up.

“The reason she lost it with Kate’s member of staff was that she, Meghan, didn’t feel that this person was giving her the sort of attention she deserved.

“It was almost as if in that one encounter, it encapsulated for Meghan the problem that she had, that she’s a Princess and she’s number two.”

The news comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s £11million mansion is said to have been engulfed by a foul smell, leaving neighbours “disgusted.”

The Duchess of Sussex has been contacted for comment.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, he said: “I came into work that morning and went down to the refrigerator, opened the door and I was just confronted with the biggest pair of boobs I’ve ever seen in my life.

Meanwhile Harry, 37, is yet to comment on the news – breaking his silence only to pay tribute to his late mother instead.

Referring to how Princess Diana changed the global perception of HIV and Aids in a talk raising awareness of the condition, Harry said: “I could never fill her shoes.”

According to the Daily the Mail, the Duke of Sussex may as well have said “and nor could anyone else” hinting at a snub worlds away from his once gushing Camilla remarks.

“Meghan Markle was a fantastic addition to the Royal Family — charming, did everything right, was gracious, was sweet-natured, and seemed to be… Wow! What a lovely addition!.”

She continued: “So, I think it is a loss in a way, but at the same time I think their instincts are absolutely correct.

“And I think it will all, hopefully, sort itself out, and the tabloid pearl-clutchers will get over their trauma at not having someone to attack all the time.”

A Government spokesman said: “The Government will imminently be updating the Designated Days List for 2022.

But that will change when the Queen dies, at which point Archie will become Prince as the grandchild of incoming monarch Prince Charles.

Of course inheriting the title will be a bittersweet moment for Archie, who knows he’ll only be able to use it when his beloved great-grandmother passes away.

“The one thing that he does know about is media exposure, the avalanche of press, all that sort of stuff.

“So if you are a celebrity and you’re struggling in the spotlight, he could definitely offer some advice on that.”

Mr Sean also added: “According to that good source, Prince Harry really would now like to delve deeper, and this could be very lucrative for him because you have things like online seminars, guest speaking at big events, which could be very very lucrative.

“Both Harry and Meghan now have to find brand new ways to create and make money in this new venture, this new world that they’re living in.

“So for Harry, being a health guru could really be financially fit.”

  • Explained: Who is Samantha Cohen?

Samantha Cohen wass the private secretary to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

She took over the role in the summer of 2018 after Prince Harry’s own personal assistant Edward Lane Fox stepped down.

While her move to look after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was meant to be an interim role, it is widely believed that Meghan had asked for her to stay on as a permanent staffer.

Cohen previously worked as the Queen’s assistant private secretary and has been employed by the Royal Family for more than 17 years.

One of her main responsibilities included helping Meghan Markle transition into her new royal life.

  • PM looking to hire Meghan’s former aide

BORIS Johnson is looking to hire Meghan Markle’s former aide as his powerful new supremo in No10 to stop another Partygate crisis.

Samantha Cohen is being lined up as the PM’s “gatekeeper” to get a grip on Downing Street and head off potential disasters.

Nicknamed “Samantha the Pantha”, the 53-year-old Aussie was a long time press guru for the Queen before being seconded to Kensington Palace in 2018.

Tasked with showing the Duchess of Sussex the ropes, she took on the ultimately doomed job of trying to prepare Meghan for life in the Firm.

But her new role involves bringing discipline and focus to the court of BoJo following a string of blunders that have rocked his premiership.

The PM has already overhauled parts of his top team by recruiting new chief of staff Steve Barclay and PR man Guto Harri.

He also cleared out the whips office and installed two old pals to quash the Tory mutiny in a mini-reshuffle this week.

If brought in as Mr Johnson’s “gatekeeper” Ms Cohen would control access to the PM to give the No10 operation focus.

  • Harry ‘could never fill Diana’s shoes’

There are fears that the Duke – who quit royal duty to live in California with Meghan Markle – will slam Camilla and the break up of Charles and Diana’s marriage in his tell-all book.

Speaking about his mother, he said: “I could never fill her shoes, especially in this particular space, but because of what she did and what she stood for and how vocal she was about this issue… it’s a converging of all these different pieces.

“There’s a way out of it, and if there’s a way out of it and we know there’s a solution, I’m like a typical guy. I just want to help fix things.”

He added: “What my mum did and so many other people did at that time was to smash that wall down, and kick the door open and say, ‘No, when people are suffering, then we need to learn more’.”

  • Meg & Harry’s home ‘overtaken by foul smell’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s £11million mansion is said to have been engulfed by a foul smell, leaving neighbours “disgusted.”

It is said to have been caused by the nearby Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, which is a 42-acre saltwater marsh.

The area is one of the largest wildlife refuges in Santa Barbara and the water can become “stagnant” leading to an odour.

The foul stink is said to have hit the area in Montecito, California, which is also home to Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.

In a video call with former rugby ace Gareth Thomas, who revealed he was HIV positive in 2019, he urged all those at risk to get a test.

However, he did not mention his stepmother, fuelling fears the duke, who quit royal duty to live in California, will use a tell-all book this year to attack Camilla over the break-up of his parents’ marriage.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty, said: “Diana never blamed Camilla for the break-up, she blamed Charles.
