Arnold & Porter has advised project and cost manager Mark G. Anderson Consultants Inc.(MGAC) on its acquisition of London-based property and construction consultants Robinson Low Francis LLP.

The purchase gives MGAC, which is currently managing $15bn in construction across North America, an on-the-ground transatlantic foothold in the UK where it has been conducting business over the past 20 years. By establishing its first office outside of North America, MGAC is creating a two-continent presence with a total of 270 employees, 10 offices and combined turnover of the business of £55m.

The London-based Corporate & Finance team was led by partner Jeremy Willcocks and included associates Emelia Hunt and Kardia Leung. The team also included Labor & Employment partner Henry Clinton-Davis.

Speaking about what this acquisition means, Mark Anderson, president and founder of MGAC, said: “Our expanded business will create a formidable organization across two continents helping bring the most ambitious project visions to reality. We believe, by combining tools and resources, we can add jet fuel in the form of investment and energy to the U.K. business to provide greater opportunities to our professionals globally, and to better serve our clients. We are very excited to welcome RLF to MGAC.”
