A missing elderly woman has been found dead inside a septic tank at a remote property in Brisbane.
Emergency teams were called to a house in Pallara, in the city’s south, just after 2pm on Sunday after the woman, believed to be aged in her late 70s, was reported missing by her son.
The woman is believed to have fallen into the septic tank at the Brookbent Rd property earlier in the day.

It is understood the woman’s husband and other family members were home at the time police discovered her body.
Detectives are on the scene at the two-storey brick house as investigations continue.
Queensland Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious and an autopsy will be carried out on Monday.
