Most unwanted – the Sunderland houses for sale for up to six years

It’s a buoyant property market at the moment and houses are selling like hot cakes. Mostly.

Just this week Halifax, one of the country’s biggest mortgage lenders, revealed the average UK house price reached a fresh record high in August.

Last week, the Nationwide building society said its data showed house prices jumped by 2.1% in August, a rise of almost £5,000.

Sadly it isn’t good news for all property sellers. Here we reveal the houses in Sunderland which have been listed for sale on property website Zoopla the longest.

A four bed detached house in Sutherland Drive, the Broadway has been listed for six years – since September 2015 – with Zoopla.

It’s an imposing Georgian style three-storey detached house which is on the market for £319,500.

The spacious family home is on a prime large corner site on a residential development and has panoramic views across the city.

A cheaper house is the next property on Salisbury Street, on the market for £85,000.

The five bed terrace house has been listed for sale on Zoopla for over two years, since July 2019.

It’s a spacious property and is within walking distance of Sunderland city centre.

Next, for offers in region of £149,950, is a four bed terraced house in Norfolk Street

This historic building was first listed on Zoopla two years ago – in July, 2019 – and is located in the heart of Sunniside Conservation Area.

It has recently been refurbished into four spacious one bedroom studio rooms and is within easy reach of local amenities and the city centre.

The next house is on Grange Crescent which was first listed for sale on Zoopla in September 2019.

The five bed terraced house is on the market for £340,000 is situated in the Ashbrooke conservation area.

Finally, there is a house in Mainsforth Terrace West which was first listed on Zoopla in October 2019, nearly two years ago.
