Set amongst plenty of green space, the long-awaited new phase of one and two-bedroom apartments at Barratt Homes’ award-winning Canal Quarter Kingsbrook development in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire will launch this spring. The new homes will be unveiled at the end of February, with prospective buyers encouraged to book an appointment.

Overlooking the canal basin with its central water feature, the apartments have quick access to select local shops and community facilities which aim to provide the perfect hub to meet friends and family. The properties are ideal for residents wanting to enjoy all the benefits of a semi-rural lifestyle, whilst feeling in reach of larger towns and cities offering a buzz of activities, being especially attractive for younger families and first time buyers.

Over 60% of the overall Kingsbrook development is dedicated to green infrastructure; including ecological enhancement in the form of wildflower meadows, woodlands, parks, allotments, fruit trees, a community orchard, a lake, miles of new hedges with native plants and a sustainable drainage system which creates wildlife-rich waterways. Alongside this, residents living at Canal Quarter will have access to a 250 Acre Nature Reserve on their doorstep with plenty of opportunities to explore the canal walk and cycle paths.

Last year, Barratt North Thames at Kingsbrook won the ‘Best Housing Partnership’ award at the prestigious British Homes Awards for its collaboration with the Royal Society Protection of Birds (RSPB). Additionally, several of the show home gardens have been awarded a gold standard by the RSPB due to the incorporation of a variety of wildlife friendly features such as bird boxes, hedgehog homes and highways, and dead wood features.

Karly Williams, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt North Thames, commented: “The launch of our new apartments this Spring is an exciting project for us at Canal Quarter and we are looking forward to seeing the response from prospective buyers in and around Aylesbury. We are continuing to see increasing enquiries for ecologically-friendly and sustainable developments so Kingsbrook is an ideal option for those interested in living on the doorstep of woodlands as well as having access to onsite orchards and allotments.

“We believe our apartments offer first time buyers a great opportunity to get on the property ladder as well as those looking to adapt an open-living space to accommodate work, studying or socialising. Crucially, many apartments will be available to purchase through more affordable homebuying schemes including our shared ownership scheme Home Reach, Help to Buy and Deposit Unlock.”

The new apartments will launch at the end of February, initially offering a collection of one and two-bedroom homes. Prices are expected to start from £239,995 for a one-bedroom apartment available through Help to Buy, whilst Home Reach options start from £120,000 for a 50% share in a one-bedroom home.
