A stylish new mews show home has just been launched at one of the most prestigious addresses in Royal Tunbridge Wells – 1887 The Pantiles.

Located in the Georgian colonnade in the historic heart of the city, this two-bedroom property is a dream home for those who want to experience the architecture, boutique shopping and fine dining of this historic location.

Designed by Abode, the Mews show home has a fresh, playful, contemporary interior with bold artwork and custom-made furniture and is available to view by appointment daily from 10am-5pm.

Louise Norman, Sales and Marketing Director for Dandara South East, said: “We are so excited to unveil the mews show home which is filled with natural light and has all the charm of a traditional property but without the high maintenance costs.

“At The Pantiles buyers are not just buying a property but a lifestyle, there are so many cultural attractions on the doorstep with regular jazz concerts and open-air markets.”

On the ground floor is a generous open plan living space, kitchen and dining space with a predominantly monochrome colour scheme, with the addition of tonal shades of midnight blue and terracotta.

At the heart of this sunny room is the sitting area with two crescent shaped pale cream boucle sofas which makes it perfect for entertaining or curling up with a book. Adding another element to the space is the covetable bespoke coffee table and glass side table – which are part furniture and part sculpture. Cushions with abstract prints and inspiring contemporary artwork make this a stimulating space for creative thinkers and those who have an eye for design.

In the sleek kitchen taupe coloured gloss and walnut units contrast with white stone worktops and the round marble table, for the perfect dining experience. Working from home would always be a pleasure in the office area with its unique bespoke desk and modern but comfortable black velvet chair.

Interior designer Harriet O’Brien said: “The open plan living area is a lovely big space with lots of light so I decided to separate it into different zones by using curved pieces so there weren’t any harsh angles, and all of the areas flow naturally into each other.

“I didn’t want the office area just to feel like it was hidden away in the corner but part of the room and commissioned a local company to make a desk that is as beautiful as it is functional. The whole apartment is designed to feel fun and a bit tongue-in-cheek, to be cool and arty but not too serious. We think it will appeal to young professionals who are looking for something a bit different from the usual new build home.”

At 1887 The Pantiles residents benefit from a purpose-designed outdoor cultural space, where they can come together to enjoy events. Residents can enjoy a range of top-class facilities including a stylish resident’s reception, concierge service, landscaped courtyard gardens, underground parking for the apartments, terraces and a separate indoor communal space that can be used to host parties.

As a vibrant cultural centre, The Pantiles is an ideal place to call home and make the most of post-pandemic living, hosting live Jazz and Soul Nights as well as other social events throughout the year. There is a selection of superb and diverse restaurants to choose from within walking distance including La Casa Vecchia, The Eating House at The Turnbridge Wells Hotel and Kirthon.

Excellent transport links are available, with Tunbridge Wells station just a five-minute walk away offering frequent services to London in less than an hour and easy journeys across Kent and Sussex. The Tunbridge Wells region is home to some of the most scenic walking routes in Kent with several accessible from the town itself into the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – a perfect way to enjoy post-lockdown freedom with family and friends.
