Bellway West Midlands is set to open its new Astley Fields development in Bedworth this month (March).
Astley Fields, which is transforming part of the former Newdigate Colliery site off Astley Lane, will open to potential buyers on Saturday 19 March, when a sales office will open on site and the first homes will be available to reserve.
Construction work is progressing well at the development, which will provide 169 homes in total, including 127 two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale and 42 affordable houses and one-bedroom apartments available for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Marie Richards, sales director of Bellway West Midlands, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming potential customers to Astley Fields next month and highlighting the different types of homes available at this development. We are offering two, three and four-bedroom properties for sale, designed to attract a mix of potential buyers with a range of different budgets and in a location which offers good transport links into both Bedworth, Nuneaton and Coventry.”
Astley Fields spans 28 acres on the former Newdigate Colliery site, which was a major part of the Warwickshire coalfield and local economy for over 80 years before its eventual closure in 1982.
The site is just three miles from Bedworth town centre and train station, and just six miles from Nuneaton town centre, while the city of Coventry is just seven miles from home.
