Oxford property burgled by schoolboys

At around 11.30am on Monday (June 13), a group of boys broke into a property on Harcourt Road, Oxford.

The offenders are described as 12 to 13-year-olds and were wearing school uniform.

The youths were disrupted by witnesses during the incident and ran towards the back of the house.

It is not known what was taken from the property.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses.

Staff Investigator Michelle Newman, based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the offence, or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to please contact the force.

“The easiest way to provide us with information is on our website or by calling 101, quoting investigation reference 43220265551.

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
