Much is said about the high price of living in Oxfordshire.

From high house prices to high rents and high living costs, the county is not the cheapest place to live.

Rental prices in Oxfordshire can easily sail pass the £900 per month mark for somewhere decent to live.

That being said, only in Oxfordshire is it possible to rent an entire manor house, garden and private woodland if you so wish.

Kirtlington Park House in Kirtlington is an 18th century, Grade I listed property set within the breath-taking Capability Brown designed parkland.

It is currently up for rent on Rightmove.

The property is Grade I listed (Savills/Rightmove)

The property’s description states that ‘up to 16 guests can relax and enjoy use of the house, including eight bedrooms as well as enjoy the stunning garden and private woodland.

‘Guests also have private access to the five State Rooms, a family kitchen, gym, billiard room, tennis court, croquet lawn and cinema room.’

Kirtlington Park House is available for private rent from two nights up to two weeks.

The property is listed by Savills and is labelled as ‘price on application’ which basically means, if you have to ask, you cannot afford it.

However, a quick search on Google takes you to the property’s own website, which states that a stay in the manor house starts from £4,000 a night.

If you wanted to rent Kirtlington Park for the full two weeks then you are looking at forking out an eye watering £56,000 – at least.
