Trimont slates Memorial Day program
A Memorial Day program, sponsored by the Trimont American Legion Auxiliary, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Trimont Elementary School. Pastor Meyer will be the speaker. No lunch will be served as has been done in previous years. Everyone is invited to attend.
Class of 1960 to lunch
Fairmont High School class of 1960 and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.
Short Story Festival tryouts
A Short Story Festival featuring the works of Mark Twain, Anton Chekhov, James Thurber, et al., where local literature enthusiasts will stage a public reading of short stories is to be performed this summer. Your voice, ideas and participation are needed for this event. The first practice will be held 7 p.m.
