Recruitment specialist Brewster Partners has undergone a restructure including the promotion of two new managing partners.

The Sheffield-based firm has been established for over a decade, providing recruitment and talent acquisition across the UK.

The company’s specialisms cover accountancy and finance, office support, charity and not-for-profit, manufacturing and operations as well as leadership and management search.

The start of 2022 saw the company move to new premises at Cubo at the heart of the city centre alongside the promotion of Paula Barber and Pete Shillito, who have been made Managing Partner.

Barber, who joined Brewster Partners to launch the company’s charity and not-for-profit division, has more than a decade of recruitment experience. Shillto has worked for Brewster Partners for over seven years, most recently in executive search within manufacturing.

Michael Collins

Boost&Co, a company which provides fast, flexible funding to UK SMEs, is continuing to grow its regional presence with the appointment of Michael Collins to the Yorkshire team as business development manager. The addition comes after a period of significant growth for the business, across the entirety of its UK deal-sourcing team.

Collins, who was previously at Metro Bank, will be based in Leeds, working alongside principal Adam Fearnley to drive deal activity in Yorkshire and the North East, helping even more SMEs achieve their funding ambitions. Collins will operate across both BOOST&Co and its sister company, Growth Lending, and will be the first deal-sourcer in the region representing Growth Lending.

Fearnley said: “The Yorkshire region has seen significant economic growth and benefits from a wealth of high-quality, fast-growing businesses across a range of sectors and is supported by a well-established and experienced M&A community. Given these characteristics, we see the region as being well-aligned to our funding proposition and a key source of deal flow.”

Catherine Schofield

Keen litigator, Catherine Scholfield has joined the LCF Law disputes team from a Leeds based firm where she worked for seven years providing legal advice to clients on a wide range of cases including debt recovery, contract disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and insolvency.

Scholfield said: “The career progression and opportunity to work with such experienced litigators at LCF Law made it an exciting career move for me. LCF Law is well known for its litigation work and takes a practical and cost-effective approach to client work, which I really admire.

“I’m looking forward to working alongside Ragan Montgomery, Tom Edwards and the rest of the team for both individual clients who might be challenging a will or have a boundary dispute for example, and for SMEs and larger organisations on a range of commercial property disputes.”

Head of disputes, Charles Abraham, added: “Catherine is a diligent and driven solicitor who is keen to expand her litigation work. She will primarily work alongside two of the six partners within our team. Ragan and Tom help people settle wealth disputes concerning wills, trusts and inheritance and also represent clients in residential and commercial property litigation matters, so there will be plenty of variety and depth to the cases Catherine will work on.”
