Following the First Minister’s announcement on 13 July 2021 to move all of Scotland into Level 0 restrictions from the 19 July 2021, Propertymark have now updated their best practice guidance ahead of the changes.

This guidance has been developed and cross referenced alongside safety information published by the Scottish Government.

The document states that although a phased approach to staff coming back into offices can begin from the 19th, that those who can work from home should still be encouraged to do so and that staff in offices and those meeting clients must follow 1- meter social distancing rules.

June and July have both seen a rise in cases of COVID-19 in Scotland and as such the first minister told MSPs that precautions such as the mandatory wearing of face coverings, guidance on ventilation and hand hygiene would remain in place “for some time”.

Ms Sturgeon added: “We must stick to a cautious approach. We are easing restrictions next week, but we are not abandoning them. And even when we move beyond level zero, we will continue to require some baseline measures such as face coverings.”

Propertymark has said “We continue to monitor the developments in Scotland and will provide relevant information to members when further details have been released.”
