MANSFIELD – In an effort to assist job seekers to prepare for the upcoming Employapalooza Job Fair event on Aug. 21, The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development, Ohio Means Jobs Richland County, Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, and North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) will be hosting four workshop sessions focused on interviewing and resume development.
These events will take place on:
Aug. 3: Main Library Branch Computer Lab, Mansfield from 6 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 5: Ontario Branch Library from 6 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 10: Lexington Branch Library from 6 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 12: NECIC, 134 N. Main Mansfield from 6 to 7 p.m.
All four events the “Marketing Yourself to Employers” events are free and open to the public, whether you are seeking full-time or part-time employment.
Workshops will begin at 6 p.m. and will include interactive discussion about preparing for interviews, information about things employers want to hear from you, and the opportunity to have a resume reviewed or created.
There is no sign-up or registration required, and all will start promptly at 6 p.m.
“We are extremely excited about the new look and feel that we are rolling out for the 2021 version of the job fair,” said Clint Knight, Director of Workforce Development. “We want to make sure that job seekers are as excited about it as we are. All of the partners behind this event are working to make sure that it is welcoming, encouraging, and filled with opportunity.
“The idea behind these workshops is to make sure that our local job seekers feel positive and confident when they attend Employapalooza on Aug. 21.”
Over 40 local businesses are already registered to welcome job seekers at the Employapalooza Job Fair, which will take place at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be companies from a large variety of industries, including medical, manufacturing, cosmetology, insurance, food service, professional, services, and many others.
