Prince Harry ‘can never be out’ of royal family says Lacey

The monarch will visit charities and businesses in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. It follows media reports the Sussexes rejected the title “Earl of Dumbarton” for Archie, because they feared it could lead to bullying.

Specifically they were concerned the title included the word “dumb”.

Sussex fans are convinced this story was briefed by royal insider, though without providing any proof.

Reacting to the Scotland trip one commented: “So that explains the Earl of Dumbarton hit piece!

“They want to get the Scots onside by drumming up hostility toward Harry and Meghan and their two-year-old son, over a Scottish title!”

A second added: “Well, now we know why the Earl of Dumbarton story is being pushed so hard. They’re hoping Scotland hates Meghan & Harry so that they’ll still support the royal family. Bad optics…..”

In response another Twitter user replied: “So obvious and so disgusting.”

Separately Prince Harry was reportedly “furious” when he and Meghan Markle were “punished” at their last royal event, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in March 2020 for their final engagement before quitting royal duties.

But respected royal biographer Robert Lacey has claimed Harry was left “furious” by their treatment at the event.

Mr Lacey said while William and Kate took part in the procession with the Queen and other senior royals, Harry and Meghan were forced to “shuffle to their seats” like all the other attendees.

The couple were made to “take their places on the sidelines” alongside Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex.

Writing in the updated edition of his Battle of Brothers book, Mr Lacey said the Sussexes had been “punished” because they had been “so hustling and aggressive” with Megxit.

The pair were struck from the order of service, which the royal expert described as a “snub in black and white – plainly set out for all to see”.

Mr Lacey added it would have “cost nothing” to include Harry and Meghan in the service for a final time as their “abrupt demotion was cruelly apparent”.

He continued: “When Harry heard that he and Meghan had been so graphically shunted aside on this final appearance, he was furious.

“The subservience of a ‘spare’ – one of the basic reasons for this very sad parting of the ways – could not have been more strikingly illustrated.”

The Sussexes sat in the second row behind the Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the service.

Tensions were apparent between the Sussexes – who are now living in California – and the royals.

2.40pm update: Prince George told about future King role ‘around his 7th birthday’

Respected royal biographer Robert Lacey said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are understood to have told their eldest son more about his future royal role last summer when he turned seven.

Writing in the updated edition of his Battle of Brothers book, Mr Lacey said: “William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son.

“Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself.

“But sometime around the boy’s seventh birthday in the summer of 2020 it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince’s life of future royal ‘service and duty’ would particularly involve.

“William’s aim as a father, the prince stressed, was to give his son ‘a normal family upbringing’, enabling the monarchy ‘to stay relevant and keep up with modern times’.”

Former royal press spokesperson Dickie Arbiter blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over disputed claims they were financially cut off by the Royal Family and highlighted the inconsistency between their gripes and the showbiz lifestyle they flaunt.

He told Good Morning Britain: “Harry chose to be financially independent, he left this country went to Canada, went to the United States.

“And yes, the general impression was that he should be paying for security – that takes a large chunk out of your earnings.

“He’s signed with Spotify, he signed with Netflix, lucrative deals, and they help to pay for the security.

“But you’ve got to ask yourself if they’re so tight and strapped for money why move into a £10million house with nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.

“You cut your coat according to your cloth, start smaller, and you work up. So, you know, that begs an answer as well.”
