Sendoso, the online platform for sending personalised gifts at large scale, is to create 100 new jobs in Dublin.
The San-Francisco based company is to establish a European Headquarters in the city as well as a warehouse for storing and distributing its products.
The new positions will be across a variety of specialties, including software engineering, business development, supply chain and customer support.
The firm, which enables people to send personalised gifts, branded swag, eGifts, and virtual experiences in significant volumes, said it also plans to source local Irish products as part of its corporate gifting catalog.
“The people we hire in this next phase of our global expansion will have a direct and meaningful impact on Sendoso’s trajectory as a category leader,” said Michelle Palleschi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sendoso.
Founded in 2016, the company currently employs 500 people and serves around 800 business to business clients and 20,000 users around the world.
The business recently raised $110m in additional Series C funding to fuel its further global expansion.
The money brings to $152m the amount of venture capital it has raised from investors.
Today’s announcement was welcomed by IDA Ireland which supported the investment.
“Sendoso is joining a thriving tech scene of fast growing and innovative companies choosing Dublin as the preferred location to establish its European HQ,” said Martin Shanahan, the IDA’s CEO.
The investment was also welcomed by the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar who said the highly skilled jobs offer good opportunities for those working in software engineering, business development, supply chain and customer service.
Among the Irish suppliers that Sendoso already works with are Stillgarden Distiller in Inchicore in Dublin, Craft Direct from Mullingar Co Westmeath, Mookie & Boo based in Greystones, Co Wicklow and Kin_dfolk, a premium lifestyle store located in Galway city.
