Sussex is traditionally a hard place for someone to get onto the property ladder.
As with most of the south east, house prices in Sussex are among the highest in the UK outside of the capital.
This can mean that getting that first step on the ladder can seem like a daunting – if not impossible – task.

However, if you know where to look there are still bargains to be found.
According to Land Registry data collated by Property Solvers, there are ten roads across East and West Sussex where homes cost less than £90k on average.
The data, which looks at every house sale on that road since 2016, shows that in some parts of Sussex houses cost as little as £69,000.

The cheapest road in the county can be found on a road in Polegate, where four properties have sold at an average of £69,125 over the past five years.
Many of the cheapest roads can be found in the Eastbourne area, while a few are located in Littlehampton and Worthing.
At the other end of the scale, there is one road where properties have sold for an average of nearly £2.5 million each.
We have found the ten roads with the lowest average sale price since 2016 – and all are cheaper than £90k.
