The cheapest homes up for sale in every borough of Greater Manchester

House prices are the first thing to consider when searching for a home.

But across Greater Manchester, they fluctuate drastically from one borough to the next.

In 2021, the average house price across the region was recorded at £264,498 – which sits just below the standard price of a home in the UK of £268,349.

In the region’s more affordable areas such as Bolton, Oldham and Wigan, you can expect to pick up a decent sized home for much less than this.

But in more affluent areas like the city centre, Stockport and Trafford, you’re likely to get a much smaller home for a much greater cost.

Here we look at the cheapest homes on the market in all 10 of boroughs of Greater Manchester – comparing what you can get for the lowest price in each area.

All of these properties have been listed for sale on Rightmove and are set to go to auction, with most being doer-uppers with the potential be great first homes or investments.

Bolton

The cheapest house on the market in Bolton is this semi-detached home in Breightmet, with a guide price of £30,000.

With two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, the ground floor of the property is made up of an an entrance hall, reception room, dining area and a kitchen.

It will go to an online auction on February 2.

Bury

In Bury, the lowest priced home up for sale is currently listed for £70,000 – a £40,000 jump from Bolton’s cheapest home.
