Police raided a Hartlepool property after concerns were raised over “drugs activity”.

The moment officers made their way into the property on Kendal Road, on the town’s Belle Vue Estate, was captured by body worn video equipment.

The force executed the drugs warrant on Tuesday morning after the address attracted “enhanced police and partners’ attention over recent weeks”.

A 22-year-old man was handed a caution at the scene after a “small amount” of cannabis was found on him.

A further small amount of cannabis was also discovered on a 17-year-old male.

The class B drug was also seized from the teenager.

A Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team spokesperson said: “This photo is from one of our neighbourhood officer’s body worn video equipment and it shows police carrying out a warrant at an address in Kendal Road on the town’s Belle Vue Estate this morning (Tuesday 28th September).

“The wider area has seen enhanced police and partners’ attention over recent weeks and we had received concerns over drugs activity from the community.

“A small amount of cannabis was found on a 22-year-old man who was given a cannabis caution at the scene.

“A further small amount of cannabis was also discovered on a 17-year-old boy and this was seized from him.

“We’d like to thank local people and colleagues from all our partner agencies for their on-going support while we work together to tackle crime and ASB.

“We’d also encourage anyone with information on drug dealing or associated activity to report it to Cleveland Police via the 101 number.

The Belle Vue estate has fallen under the police spotlight in recent weeks after large-scale disorder which saw police officers pelted with eggs.

A man, woman and two boys have been charged following the incident on Thursday, September 2.
