The most expensive places available to rent in Wales right now

Wales’ property market is currently experiencing a boom – and that includes homes to rent too.

According to recent figures, the average price of rent in Wales has risen by a whopping 11.8% between July 2020 and July 2021, going from an average of £638 per month to £713 per month 12 months later.

At the top end of the scale, while they may be out of many of our budgets, there are some pretty unique places to be found.

From swimming pools and jacuzzis to panoramic views that belong on a postcard, the houses at the higher end of Wales’ rental market are the sort of places that will leave you day-dreaming.

We’ve taken a closer look at some of the most expensive properties available to rent across Wales at the moment.

Michaelston-le-Pit: £2,990 pcm

Just a stone’s throw away from Cardiff, in the exclusive area of Michaelston-le-Pit, this immaculate barn conversation looks like it could be in the south of France or Italy.

With plenty of outdoor space, plus its spectacular views over the Vale of Glamorgan, this property allows you to live like you’re on holiday while only being a short commute from Cardiff.
