There can be no doubt that our region has suffered some rough times in the past.
But, if you take a good look around, you will see that there is much to be positive about, and those are the stories that we report on in our annual Progress Edition.
This year’s edition will be distributed in five sections. You’ll find that first section, a look at economic activity and the energy industry, included with Tuesday’s edition. Community, retail and financial services will be the focus of Feb. 7 installment, while we’ll look at tourism and lifestyles on Feb. 14. Health and education take center stage on Feb. 21, with business, industry and transportation highlighted on Feb. 28.
Progress 2022: Faces of Progress — that’s the theme of this year’s edition, and each story will look at the plans area businesses are making for the future and the people who will work to make things happen. As you read the stories, you will discover that area businesses and development officials are proud of their accomplishments and are looking ahead.
You’ll read profiles about businesses that have been serving our area for 100 years or more, and stories about businesses that have only recently opened. There will be the opportunity to learn more about the people who direct the Jefferson County Port Authority and the Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle. You’ll also learn about growth at Trinity Health System and Weirton Medical Center, as well as the good things being accomplished at schools across the region.
Our Progress Edition again offers proof that our region is filled with people who remain committed to making their businesses successful and continuing to make the Tri-State Area a good place to live and work.
They all have positive stories to tell, and we’re happy to be able to share them.
