UK property rich list: Most expensive places in the country named by Zoopla

The UK’s most expensive street, highest value area and highest value town has been revealed by property website Zoopla. London’s Kensington Palace Gardens in the capital’s W8 postcode is the most expensive street in the country. The stunning avenue, which includes trees lining the street and gated homes, is home to some of the wealthiest people in the world.

Some of the street’s homeowners include F1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone and Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich.

The avenue is also close to Kensington Palace which is home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children.

According to Zoopla, the typical price of a property on Kensington Palace Gardens is £32,445,602.

Currently, the average house price in the UK is £267,587 – a record high.

In second place on the list is Courtenay Avenue, in London’s N6 postcode where the current average house price is £20,510,200.

Grosvenor Crescent in London’s SW1X, in Belgravia, the borough of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea came in third place on the list.

The average house value in this area is £2,725,976.

SW7 in Knightsbridge came in second place and SW3 in Chelsea came in third place where the average house values are £2,300,010 and £2,213,030 respectively.

W11 in Notting Hill and W1 in the West End completed the top five where the average house values are £1,924,906 and £1,690,629 respectively.

Most of the 20 highest value areas in the UK are located in London.

However, Virginia Water in Surrey, Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire, Cobham in Surrey and Chalfont St. Giles in Buckinghamshire were also mentioned.

The village is located within the London Borough of Bromley and the county of Kent.

The average house value in Keston, which is located near Hayes Common, is £1,227,864.

Cobham in Surrey is the fourth most expensive town to buy a property where the current average value is £1,183,637 and the average price paid for a home is £1,102,926.

Chalfont St. Giles in Buckinghamshire came in fifth place.

The current average value of a home there is £1,140,787 and the average price paid for a house is £902,139.
