Fortnite‘s chapter two will come to an end on Saturday, after an almost two-year-long saga.
As is tradition, Epic Games is wrapping things up with an event that promises to be, well… epic.
Chapter one’s end-of-chapter live event was the biggest in Fortnite’s history. It was followed by a short period of down-time, before the game returned with a brand new map.
We can expect something similar this time, although Epic has remained tight-lipped on what exactly could go down.
What we do know is that the event is called “The End”. Here’s when it’s taking place, and how to be part of it.
What time is the live event?
The event will take place on Saturday 4 December at 9pm GMT.
As usual, people will be able to queue up half an hour before it kicks off, which Epic Games recommends in order to guarantee a spot.
How can I join?
Joining is easy, all you have to do is log into Fortnite and join the queue, which Epic recommends doing at about 8.30pm.
It says: “‘The End’ supports large parties of up to 16 players queued together, so bring the whole squad along.
“Be sure to log in early – ‘The End’ playlist will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the start time for players to jump in.”
What should we expect?
Epic has only released the following information about the finale: “With The Convergence complete, The Cube Queen prepares her endgame for the Island and nothing will ever be the same. Grab your weapons and fight the ultimate destroyer of all reality. Join ‘The End’, a one-time only, in-game event and battle for your legacy.”
It makes sense that the finale centres around The Cube Queen, since the season has clearly been building up to an event centring around the mysterious figure.
Significant details about the finale appear to have leaked on TikTok. We won’t be sharing them here to avoid spoilers, but they are out there if you want to find them.
Players could be treated to a new map for chapter three, as they were for chapter two.
